Local Recording Artist to Perform Free Benefit Concert for Homeless Shelter
Central Midtown hosts first full band performance of Hanan Browning since album release in support of Family Promise of South Alabama.

Mobile, AL: Central Midtown is proud to announce a concert, light show, and silent auction benefiting Family Promise of Coastal Alabama Saturday June 30th at 7:30pm in the beautiful Central Presbyterian sanctuary. All are welcome as local recording artist, Hanan Browning, backed by his full band performs originals from his LP, Empyrean Tides, released in February. The event also includes a silent auction of local art, goods, and services by Central Midtown community members.
Each year, one out of every 19 American children will experience some level of homelessness. Family Promise of South Alabama is a locally-funded nonprofit dedicated to helping unhoused children and their families by providing temporary shelter and essential services such as meals, transportation, and educational support. All proceeds from The Family Promise Benefit will go towards helping them continue their vital mission
Hanan “HB1” Browning is a homegrown recording artist and Central Midtown community member. His music, best described as “Rural Progressive”, is acoustic-based, lyrically rich, and layered with elements of folk, soul, progressive rock, and traditional country. Browning and a talented group of supporting musicians will perform their concert, which will include a pipe organ and a light display in Central Presbyterian’s acoustically beautiful and visually stunning sanctuary.
Located at Central Presbyterian Church (1260 Dauphin Street at Ann Street in Midtown), Central Midtown is an inclusive community of creatives, nonprofits, and wellness professionals with a shared mission of having a positive impact on the city. Many of the over 50 community members of Central Midtown will be donating unique and one-of-a-kind artwork and services to be available at the silent auction.
The Family Promise Benefit is an all ages show. Doors open at 7:30pm and the concert starts at 8:00pm. Refreshments will be available. Donations welcome.
